Lakselva

Salmon River is a well-known large salmon river located in Finnmark! The salmon stretch that is most attractive to fishermen begins where the river flows into the Upper Water Skoganvarre. The river winds about 3 kilometers in changing environments down to Lower Water. This stretch has called zone 4 and is annually the scene of many a battle between the fisherman and big salmon.

From the mouth of Nedrevann down to Porsangerfjord it is approximately 25 kilometers. At the top are the zone 3, where the river flows relatively narrow and winding, with many wonderful salmon holes. Zone 3 has some vegetation along the river bank, and requires a certain level of technique and mastery speykastet is more or less a prerequisite.

Zone 1 and 2 are the most accessible zones, where one has easy access by road on both sides. These zones sells and very good catches. Zone 2 is also the longest zone, while the zone where one finds the most closed of reasons. Some of these reasons are traded privately.
